Gallery 5 - Italian and Spanish Scenes

I love the Italian countryside although I have never been; I would dearly like to visit it one day. I love colour and the variety of colours in the buildings is fantastic and makes it exciting to paint. The café scenes are particular favourites although these do take a great deal of patience to paint all the individuals. It's like painting several portraits in one picture but I think that the overall effect is worth all the effort. If you have a favourite photograph from a holiday in Italy, Spain or France I can convert it into a watercolour painting as you can see from the pictures below. The paintings below are just a selection from a host of paintings from countryside scenes both in this country and abroad. I have a large selection of Australian scenes and houses that I have painted on my visits over the years but I didn't think that these would appeal to an English audience hence their exclusion.
